FAQ:

What is included in a facial?

  • Included in all our facials with the exception of The Back Facial and The Dermaplane Facial is a thorough cleanse of the skin, exfoliation, steam and optional extractions, facial massage, mask, neck and shoulder massage and finally finishing products are applied.

How often should I get a facial?

  • The answer to this question can vary from person to person. It is typically recommended for maintaining results to come in every 4-8 weeks for a facial treatment. However, if this schedule is not doable for you, every 12 weeks or as the seasons change is also beneficial, to support your skin through the transition.

Do facials hurt?

  • No! We take a very gentle approach. Most feel a deep sense of relaxation while getting a facial. While there can be slight pressure during extractions, these are completely optional. Most find facials to be comforting and calming.

What can I expect for my skin after my facial?

  • Immediately after your facial it is completely normal to experience slight redness in the skin. Within the days following your facial some can experience what is called purging.

  • Purging typically looks like a minor breakout with small whiteheads on the surface of the skin. This is nothing to be concerned about. Purging occurs because during the exfoliating process it removes the top layer of dead skin, and brings deep seeded congestion, oil and bacteria to the surface. The minor breakouts should heal within a few days.
