Psychotherapy


Psychotherapy is primarily a talk-based therapy that is available to individuals, couples, and families. A registered psychotherapist and client collaborate within the therapeutic relationship, working together to explore and unpack what a client might be struggling with, all with the intention of bringing about positive change in the client’s thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and relationships.

A client might seek psychotherapy for various struggles that could be negatively impacting their daily life, and overall ability to enjoy life. For some, psychotherapy might be an opportunity to strengthen their personal relationships, improve their ability to regulate emotions in a healthy way, cope with mood, anxiety, or other mental health struggles, process and heal from past negative experiences, or simply have a safe, non-judgmental space within which to learn more about one’s self.
